new areas including an insane new GrimWood Forest and expanded UnderDark
new bosses, new quests, new magic
henchmen all over the place, up to six at a time if you got the gold
643 areas and counting.

Set your subrace to Drow or Duergar to start in the Underdark.
Custom summons for Drow and Duergar.

To have custom summons for wizard specialty schools, use the subrace field. Necromancers get undead, Illusionists get wisps, etc.
SUBRACE field unfortunately, I haven't found a way to check specialty school in the toolset
however, this way sorcerors and bards get the custom summons as well.

Death includes bleeding influenced by the heal skill rank and constitution.

Most buffs last 24 hours, so a level 1 mage armor is the same as a level 10.
There is a mana system in place that expands damage and allows access to spells.
The mana system is a reward system for roleplaying, so join the guilds!

NWN EE and 169

Figurines of Wondrous Power(among other things) are dropped by bosses. Thieves Guild members can gain xp by disabling some traps, also free spike traps and arrows. Mage Guild members get an orb of dimension door that has expanded portal powers and flints to build campfires and a few choices for rods cheaply. Mage Guild members can also build a golem through a guild quest.

The Cogath Dwarf Clan has sacked the shining city of Eskesehar. Travel there at your risk, it is currently mostly populated by undead. They say Alp Ars Lan the Necromancer has been experimenting on the citizens there in order to become a lich one day. Some say... he already has... become a lich, I mean... he definitely experimented on the citizens of Eskeshar. You can't get that many dead bodies from any graveyard.

So, You have your BlackMasks, that's the thieves guild; and the Initiates, the mages guild. There are the Guards, they are tasked with protecting all the various villages. As for villages, you got Atria, that's my favorite just head south when you hit Banewood Forest. Bulls Pit is farther south from there and it's been destroyed by Alp Ars Lan and the Cogath s'what I heard. Zombies everywhere, but the portal still works so, there you go. Devil's Tower is far to the north, you can probably make it by just keep running on the road as fast as you can because it's pretty dangerous, ogres, ice beasts and elementals and whatnots. Toe's Town is somewhere not too far south east of Keep Town. It's pretty boring but whatever floats your boats. I like the gypsy caravan, it's in the Banewood or just east of it usually, they move around because, you know, gypsys, gypsies? whatever. Nice tailor there, some nice blades, you should check it out. Bring your gold pouch, but hold it close.

The Isle of Kios is a gamblers paradice. You can make a fortune there on games of chance. There is a hidden glade, not the one with the Cogath ambush, there is another one somewhere near there. A couple of drunken dwarves hang out there. Not Cogath, I think they are related to the ones in KeepTown that sell the good armor. Mountains Rooters probably, it's in the ground somewhere north of KeepTown, nice place. From there you can get to the UnderDark.

NWNEE

All skills are useful, except the built in crafting.
The crafting is not in use at this time.

There are triggers that fire on each skill and send a message to players system window. This is not viewable by your team members and it is at your discretion to alert them to your newly found knowledge. You might hear, see, notice an old disabled trap, a book you read once had a story just like this situation, etc.
During conversations with NPCs you can cast charm person, use your persuade/bluff/intimidation skills, and lore gives some additional choices as well.

Old AshenRealm on NWNEE

AshenRealm v749 is on NWNEE you can connect to

see above
A forum is available at https://creagcridhe.com/forum

ps. I had to use the direct connect button and specify the port of 5122 the first time, after that NWN automatically connected.

Fringe Server on NWNEE

CEP 2.4+ Steam NWNEE. I may be upgrading to the latest CEP soon.

Ashen Realm(v749) NWNv1.69/Ashen Haks: cogath.com:5122

Welcome to Fringe

You will need CEP 2.4+(2.65 is fine) and update to 1.69 unless using steam/EE. Direct connect as above

This is a persistant NWN1 world I have heavily modified to approximate as close as possible my pen and paper D&D experience. There are puzzles and mazes (the map window won't help) and all skills are useful so build the character you want, don't make those decisions we all make because some skills just aren't very useful in the normal NWN1 world. Keep an eye on the system window your character might get notified in this window information that only you can see. Have a high lore? In a forest you might get a message that says "In an old tome it was written the undead are risen in the Banewood Forest near a tree of unique appearance just like that one". Have a high listen score? You might see "you hear a rustling, a scraping as if of bone on wood". Tired of spamming those few low level areas to get a character that can actually do something useful? Not here, there are many areas where a level 1 character can explore. Even if you like to create multiple characters you will be able to do different things each time. There are quests, awesome bosses, guild support and more.

Information

A bit of information on Fringe, first not all area transitions are visible, you have to find them. If a road goes to the edge of the area, try and walk forward, you will probably transition to the next area. There are hidden areas, there are places where you can climb over walls and hills instead of trucking the long route. Location markers are in most civilized areas and determine where you spawn after a mod reboot, just touch them to save your restart location persistently. The magic users guild is very powerful, mages get orb of dimension door, and can teleport more than the portal gates that are all over the realm. If not a mage, you can still port around, but you need portal gems, buyable at most merchants. To go to a portal you have to first touch that portal, so go out and find those portals, every city and village has a portal but some are in other areas. The thieves guild is also very useful. Join up and receive all the traps you can use and some free arrows too. There is also a necromancer guild, the guards for fighter types and more.

Ashen Realm

Ashen Realm is back online! Direct connect to cogath.com:5122. You need the Ashen haks. This is the Ashen Realm created by Kepp and is easily the greatest module I have ever played. A perfect blend of excellent visuals and hands down the baddest ass gameplay you will ever find. I spent years of my life having awesome fun in this mod. Enjoy!

Baldurs Gate EE update 2.0

Beamdog has added quite a lot of functionality to the Baldurs Gate EE series available on steam and GOG (as well as straight from Beamdog). The coolest thing is the now easily modifiable GUI. In their forums is a tutorial to make the new character reroll button auto-roll until you get at least a 92. I have made the modifications and you can download the UI.menu files here : BG 1 and BG 2.
rename these just UI.menu and place them in the override directory. For steam users this will be under the steam folder %steam home%/steamapps/common/%game name%/override.
If this folder does not exist you can create it.
